Invest In Our Success

CHALLENGE GRANT: DOUBLE YOUR INVESTMENT DOLLARS
New donations and increases from previous donations will be matched by the Peery Foundation.

Our school’s remarkable success has been fueled by the unwavering commitment of our supporters. These resources allow us to develop innovative solutions to meet the unique needs of our school. While we’ve demonstrated our ability to do more with less, with $2,500 in cuts per student in the past two years, we need help to sustain our school and continue to grow.

Programs for Sustained Growth and College Success

Our funding needs fall into three main categories that comprise our formula for success:

KIDS + TEACHERS = COLLEGE SUCCESS

  • Curriculum-based Field Trips
  • Educational Materials (maps, smart boards, computers, etc)
  • Enrichment Programs (art, music, etc)

  • Instructional Coaches
  • Teacher Aids & Residencies
  • Family and College Resource Center

  • College Tours
  • Scholarship Support
  • Student Store (college gear)

The initiatives above are designed to provide our students with the opportunities and support necessary to ensure their successful journey to and through the college or university of their choice. We gladly accept donations made online or by mail. Please email donate@epacs.org with any questions.

Making Every Dollar Count

The chart at right illustrates the striking disparity in per-pupil funding between EPACS and our Silicon Valley neighbors. We receive less than half the per-pupil allotment enjoyed by some of the districts nearby. The recent statewide financial crisis has compounded the problem: over the last two years, we have lost $2500 per student

This funding gap has not translated into an achievement gap, however. On the contrary, our remarkable achievements clearly show that we make the most of our limited resources. In fact, when it comes to serving traditionally disadvantaged students, besides pushing them harder than our counterparts, EPACS is clearly better-equipped to serve students who have too often been left behind by the public education system. The chart at right (bottom) shows how students who are socio-economically disadvantaged are much better served at EPACS than at other schools, including those across the freeway with twice the per-pupil funding.

Our school represents a remarkable proof point for the argument that resources, when placed in the hands of capable professionals with high expectations, can promote amazing results. In short, EPACS provides a powerful return on investment.
