EPACS and Beyond
Here at East Palo Alto Charter School, we do more than provide education. We instill a love of learning in our students so that they can carry on with their goals and dreams beyond our school doors. Here are success stories of several alumni who have continued on to private high schools.

Thanks to the Harvard Club of Silicon Valley and the Junior League of Palo Alto-Mid-Peninsula, EPACS students receive help in preparing their private school applications. In 2006, more than 30 8th graders worked with volunteers to refine their essays and fill out forms. Many of this year's graduating 8th graders will be continuing on at EPACS for 9th grade, but we also have students who will be attending Castilleja, St. Francis, East Side Prep, Sacred Heart, and others.

If you are an EPACS alumni, we'd love to hear from you. Send us an update on your current contact info and what you are doing to .

Bianka M.
EPACS alum, grades 1-8
Currently at a private high school in Palo Alto

What did you enjoy most about your experience at EPACS?
I enjoyed the teachers. The teachers made each and every class an experience, but not just a learning experience, an experience where students could have fun with what they were learning. Each day was another day where students were excited to do something fun, whether it be in science or even English class. If it weren't for the teachers putting so much effort and enthusiasm into these classes, none of those lessons would be an experience.

What are your college dreams?
I want to major in Art and English. But so far, my dreams for college are Stanford and the San Francisco School of Arts.

What are your plans for after college?
When I graduate from college I would like to become an author and illustrator of my own children's books. Writing and drawing are my two hobbies, and I have a deep passion for them. It's something I like to do, and I want to be known for doing something that is my passion.
