Our Students
The EPACS student body is diverse and motivated. We believe our students have enormous potential to become the next leaders of our community. And they all share a love of our school. Read about our students and share their excitement about the school, learning, and their dream of going to college.

Marissa M.
Grade 6

What do you like about EPACS?
I think EPACS is a good school that really educates its students. I agree with its discipline towards the students if they misbehave. The teachers are fun and also know how to teach us while adding a little laugh.

What is your favorite subject(s) and why?
I enjoy math because it can help with many things, especially in a job. I also like social studies, because I love learning about past history and what happens today.

Where do you want to go to college and why?
I am not quite sure what college I want to go to, but I do know I want to go to a college which allows me to continue in math, social studies, and learn more about cooking. I also want to go to a college that is away, but not far.

If you could wish for one thing for our school, what would it be?
I would wish for more art class projects during class not for an elective or specials. I feel like there are less opportunities in school to relax and do something fun, that also includes learning. I want this because I love art and think it would be fun to learn about the textures of things and color mixtures.

Idalys N.
Grade 4

What do you like about EPACS?
I like EPACS because the teachers are strict but nice. They push you into doing something right because they know we can do something.

What is your favorite subject(s) and why?
My favorite subject is reading independently because I love to read books. My favorite genre is realistic fiction.

Where do you want to go to college and why?
I want to go to New York University to study being a fashionista. I want to go there because New York is all about fashion.

If you could wish for one thing for our school, what would it be?
I would wish for a new playground and more textbooks.

Santiago P.
Grade 1

What do you like about EPACS?
I like how mostly all persons get on the Superstar list. I like having writer's workshop we can write about whatever we want, but we have to have 3 copies: a rough draft, a pre-write, and a final copy. I like it because we can write about our weekend, and what we did over break.

What is your favorite subject(s) and why?
My favorite subject is math because we learn about math games and math centers and we could do math in our books. I like how we do doubles and addition.

Where do you want to go to college and why?
I want to go to college in UCSB because there's a beach and there's a lot of classes you can go to, like art.

If you could wish for one thing for our school, what would it be?
I would wish that all the times we went to a grade we could wear any color jacket. I wish that there were scientist in the school so we could do science and show our parents how good we can do science.

Joy C.
Grade 2

What do you like about EPACS?
What I like about EPACS is that it cares about our education and they make us get ready for college.

What is your favorite subject(s) and why?
My favorite subjects are reading, writing and math because we all couldn't get a job if we did not do them.

Where do you want to go to college and why?
I want to go to UCSB because my teacher Tanya went there.

If you could wish for one thing for our school, what would it be?
I wish it would be more challenging for things we think are easy.
