The EPACS garden is a beautiful oasis that nearly an acre in size. The garden boasts garden beds overflowing with seasonal produce, over 50 fruit trees, a flock of chickens, an outdoor kitchen, and a giant green dome covered with wisteria. It is a magical space!
In the EPACS garden, all grades participate in garden classes during the school day that are structured to provide hands-on, garden-based lessons. The lessons include science, health, nutrition, cooking, art, math and language arts. Students also enjoy time in the garden during lunch, as a part of clubs and in after-school programs.
EPACS parents and the community are invited to monthly garden work days to help maintain the garden. Volunteer opportunities are also available for corporate groups.
